Geoff grew up fishing with his grandfather and father, who grew up fishing with theirs. He is the fourth generation of his family to fish out of Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay and is currently the owner and operator of the fishing vessel Miss Moriah.

Geoff fishes for salmon and crabs as well as participates in the federally managed IFQ program for groundfish, fishing for Sablefish also known as Black Cod harvested with traps and for Petrale Sole, Sand Dabs and Rockfish using Trawl gear. Geoff is active on the Dungeness Crab Task Force as well as the Grounfish Electronic Monitoring sub-committee.
